William's Interview



 Enguany al nostre centre ens han concedit un auxiliar de conversació en llengua anglesa. William és un xic què ha vingut  d'Austràlia per compartir en nosaltres la seua llengua i cultura durant tot  aquest curs escolar 2016-17.
A continuació vos mostrem una entrevista què li han fet dos alumnes de 6é.










What made you come to Spain?

I primarily came to be with my girlfriend because she is from Valencia but I also came because I like to travel and live in different countries.

What is the typical dish of Adelaide?

Pies are very commonly eaten in Adelaide and the most well-known Adelaide dish is hte pie floater, a meat pie with ketchup and pea soup.

Do you think that Eurasmus (exchange program) is beneficial for students?

I think the Eurasmus exchange program is very beneficial for students as it gives them the opportunity to experience new cultures and learn in new environments.

Is the Tasmanian Devil real or a myth?

The Tasmanian Devil is a real animal. It is small and black but is very aggressive and makes a loud screaming sound. It is only found on the island of Tasmania


Is it true that there are hippo races in Australia?

No there aren't any hippos in Australia but we do have greyhound and horse races as well as camel, frog, and cockroach races. In my state there is a famous tuna throwing competition.


What kind of food do you like? Spanish or Australian?

I prefer Spanish food because it is more interesting. My favourite Spanish food is arroz al horno

What is your favourite place in Australia?

One of my favourite places in Australia is Kakadu National Park in the Northen Territory. It is beautiful and big, about half the size of Switzerland.

Have you ever seen a kangaroo in Australia?

Yes in Australia there are lots of kangaroos and it is common to see them in the country or in parks near the city.

Are the Spanish very different from Australians?

A little bit, I think Australians are more relaxed and easy-going whilst the Spanish tend to be more passionate.

Talking about all the places you have visited, which is your favourite?

My favourite country that I have visited is Guatemala in Central America. There they also speak Spanish and the country is tropical with an interesting culture.
