Autumn + Thanksgiving

The past two weeks have been full of celebrating the autumn season. First we celebrated the coming of autumn with many art projects for all ages. The children painted leaves, trees, and beautiful autumn colors to decorate the halls.

Next, last week we celebrated the American holiday of Thanksgiving. Our auxiliar Sara shared a presentation with the students about her favorite Thanksgiving foods and customs, and the students practiced Thanksgiving food vocabulary like turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. They also made some Thanksgiving crafts like turkeys made from plates and toilet paper rolls, as well as drawing their Thanksgiving plate.
